Who You Are
You’re excited at the prospect of helping couples with their immigration challenges, but this isn’t your specialty…yet. You’re looking to become an immigration leader, but there are gaps in your knowledge.
OR
You’ve hired new attorneys in your practice and want to get them up to speed quickly.
What if there were a step-by-step program that walked you through everything you need to know to navigate marriage-based immigration cases successfully?
The ILT Marriage Immigration Course is the only course on the market that outlines the A to Z of marriage cases. We take the confusion out of the process so you can get the best results for your clients.
The course is an online group program taught by immigration attorney John Khosravi. The course includes online learning modules, combined with mentorship sessions with John. A robust program built by an experienced attorney for the busy but ambitious attorney.
Learning a new field will be daunting! It can take years to become familiar with not only the official resources, such as statutes, regulations, court cases, and policies, but also with their interpretations. But also the practical knowledge of how the government and colleagues handle cases, contracts, relationships, and more. Why not fast forward this to 14 hours?
There is a better way!
Marriage-based immigration law gives you the flexibility to work from home while serving clients around the world—whether they’re applying within the U.S. or through a U.S. embassy abroad. Once you master this area, you’ll not only handle family-based cases with confidence but also open doors to broader immigration practice opportunities.
In this course, you’ll dive deep into the core pillars of marriage-based immigration: adjustment of status, inadmissibility, consular processing, affidavits of support, and much more.
I got into immigration law by accident when I was looking for my first job. I was lucky and fell in love with it. At first, I did many types of work—like going to Immigration Court, handling Asylum cases, helping with waivers, investor visas, extraordinary ability visas, and family cases. But when I started my own law firm, I realized I was doing too much. Some work meant driving a lot in busy Los Angeles traffic. Other work, like humanitarian cases, was very hard emotionally. Employment cases were also tough because I had to represent both the employer and the employee.
So, I decided to focus on just three areas: family immigration, extraordinary ability visas, and small investors. During the early Trump administration, some cases became harder because of lots of extra paperwork. This cost more time and money. To avoid that, I focused on marriage-based immigration, which had fewer problems. This allowed me to build a six-figure law firm and still work part-time all by myself and spending core time with my family in Los Angeles.
Eventually, I wanted a new challenge, so I started growing my business and hiring people, like an associate lawyer and paralegals. But you don’t have to grow if you don’t want to—it's possible to earn over $100,000 a year working part-time in this area of law!
